Class didn't go so well this week. She started crying and they brought her out to me. I tried to console her and convince her to go back in, but she didn't want to. The owner said I could go in with her, but of course she didn't want to let go of me even when we went back in. I finally bribed her to participate when the gymnastics portion started (her favorite part) by telling her we'd go next door to get some ice cream if she would go and roll down the mat.
She says she doesn't want to go back, but I think we'll try again next week and possibly two or three more times. If it doesn't work out, we'll back off and try again next year. She really likes to dance and loves to dress up in the dance clothes. I think being left in the classroom without me or Tray is scary to her since we've never done that. But then again, the owner pointed to two of the other moms there and told me that it had taken 4 times for each of their kids to get used to it. And I'd heard them talking enough to know that their kids are in daycare so I have hope that it isn't the being left alone in class so much as just the novelty of the situation.

OMG - she looks SO cute in her little leotard. I had total flashbacks to when I was young (about 5 yrs old) when my mom signed my sister and I up for ballet classes. We only did it for one season, I don't think we had the grace for ballet. But Penny just looks so sweet.
