One of the things Penny likes for me to do with her blue dinosaur is to make him "walk" toward her - with sound effects - only to jump up at the end and "get" her tummy. She laughs hysterically every time. Well, to change things up yesterday I had him get her toes instead. Then Tray took the dinosaur and made him "get" my toes and I pretended to scream and pull my foot back dramatically. Penny then took the dinosaur and made him get my toes several times. It was so cute. But then, THEN, (completely on her own) she took him and made him get her daddy's toes. She'd put the dinosaur's nose on Tray's toes and then run away really fast and hide behind my legs. She did this over and over again. I have no idea why she kept running to hide. But it was so funny.
Another cute thing she does now a days is to put toys "night-night" in Tray's shirt or pants pockets while saying her version of night-night.
She's also getting more and more excited about our two dogs. She calls Lindy "D!" (with emphatic exclamation point) and Jake is still "j'duh"
She loves going up and down steps (over and over and over...) and says "up" or "down" as appropriate when doing so.
I mentioned she now says the word "towel'. Her other new word this week is "itch". She spends so much time outside everyday that mosquito bites are inevitable even with long pants and bug spray. Now she'll point to her bites and say "itch" (with the most pitiful "woe is me" look on her face too). She's also "talking" more and more in that she carries on conversations in jibberish but with more or less adult intonation and will "read" books to herself. I've noticed that the story line usually involves lots of "cats". :)
