We sold our house! We closed yesterday. I was not physically present for the closing; I turned over my power of attorney to Tray for the occasion. He was amazing to go down there and take care of all of that. We are both so, so glad to be out from under that mortgage. But now we need to refinance our current house.
Last night was the City of Troy's Christmas Parade.

This is Penny waving at a Christmas tree. Actually, she waved nonstop for the whole parade and several times stated that she was waving at this or that Christmas tree as it went by on a float. I thought it was interesting that she was waving at trees. Anyway. We all had a good time. It's interesting how worldview shifts. Prior to leaving Troy, I never attended the Christmas parade, but had I done so I would have found it quaint and even boring. After having lived in Tallahassee, I loooooved it. It was quintessential small town and exactly just right. We got there from our house in five minutes and back home in five minutes. I had a chicken pot pie in the oven and left it to bake until we got home to eat it afterwards and the whole evening was just wonderful.
